Dug the trusty old Kona explosive out of the garage recently. The Sunday
ride tends to happen in the park in the winter months, and 5 inches of
travel which is great in Swinley Forest and the Common leaves me struggling
to keep up with the hardtails on the paved surface. Last time I rode it must
have been when my youngest could still fit on the seat on the toptube. Its a 93 model I think, that old weird green colour under that whitish
respray which also needs redoing. The rims had worn right through, so I
substituted the wheels (from my broken old manomano), yanked the
kiddycarrying bits off and dug out some old specialized nimbus tyres. Since
I took these pics I've updated the saddle and put some new crud products on
to keep the spray off.

Perfect for the park on a wet Sunday morning. Still needs a bit of tlc but
getting there... Love the suntour shifters too.
